“MadBack’s first digital EP “T-Shirt“ highlights both Tripped and [KRTM]’s work as Industrial and Terror artists. This release is a statement for MadBack Records which focuses on the symbiose of Techno and Hardcore. Using a lot of analogue hardware as a foundation for their sound, the duo slightly moves away from their earlier work as computer artists. Ranging from 132 bpm to 230, it is plausible that Tripped and [KRTM] seize their genre beyond its current condition. MadBack will be a platform that encourages aspirations to bring musical elements together with powerful dancefloor attitude. This first release is a showcase of MadBack’s current sound and an invitation to continue where we started…“

This is gabber, but not the unsubtle cut n' paste kind I grew up with. This stuff is deeper, and dare I say a great deal more atmospheric and well composed than it's genuinely old school forebears. I'm impressed by how sullen and paranoid the overall tone of this record is, given gabber's obvious exaggeratedly techno elements. Not bad! Ben Harris
